The newest addition to our Community Room creative reuse collection is 1000 colorful paper cranes lovingly folded from used (aka scrap) paper by The Cranium, a group of artists dedicated to creating origami experiences in Missoula and beyond.
The Japanese word “senbazuru” means folding 1000 cranes, stringing them together, and presenting them as a gift. An ancient Japanese legend says that a wish will be granted to anyone who folds 1000 paper cranes. The Cranium’s wish is ZERO BY FIFTY!
Want to see our collection for yourself? Come to Missoula’s first Fixit Clinic next Saturday 4/20 in our Community Room from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Register to fix your broken thing here! Walk-ins welcome, but pre-registration encouraged. The Fixit Clinic will take place during MUD’s Earth Day Celebration.
