A Community Sustainability Center.

French aviator and author Antoine de Saint-Exupéry once said, “If you want to build a ship, don’t gather your people and ask them to provide wood, prepare tools, assign tasks. Call them together and raise in their minds the longing for the endless sea.”

For us, the proverbial endless sea is a sustainable community. That’s why, while our building materials reuse center remains one of our most important tools, our new logo (featured at the top of this email) is a reminder of the direction our compass is set.

This blog post by Noelle, our Energy Corps Service member, is a sweet recount of her first experience facilitating a Home ReSource youth building activity.

If you haven’t yet seen today’s Sustainable Missoula column, it was authored by Jeremy, our Community Engagement Manager, and gives a snapshot of exciting Zero Waste actions underway.
