Josh Masias, our 2017 Artist in Residence, only started last week and he has already knocked out his first piece, entitled “Frame of Expansion” (pictured). Josh is finishing up his BFA at UM School of Art and has transformed our mezzanine into a temporary art studio where he will spend the semester expanding his art practice from 2-D to 3-D compositions. Josh created a blog to document and reflect on his experience making sculpture using mostly materials from our waste stream. Follow Josh’s work on his blog.
